Historical Marker Installed Honoring Czech Presidential Visit
The Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center in La Grange, Texas proudly installed a commemorative historical marker today recognizing the visit of Petr Pavel, President of the Czech Republic, and First Lady Eva Pavlová during their historic visit to the Center in July 2024.
During that special occasion, President Pavel and First Lady Pavlová were welcomed by community leaders and supporters as plans for the continued growth and future of the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center were presented. The visit celebrated the strong cultural ties between the Czech Republic and the many Texans who proudly carry Czech heritage.
The installation of this marker ensures that this historic moment will be permanently remembered on the grounds of the Center. The marker was crafted by Pesek-Hermes Memorials and stands as a symbol of the enduring friendship and cultural connection between the Czech Republic and the Czech-American community of Texas.
